Editorial Policy
Editorial independence
Paid contractor listings never influence what we recommend in guides, best-of picks, or problem diagnoses. Sponsored listings appear only inside a labeled "Sponsored" section on city pages — never inside editorial content.
How we write cost and climate content
Our cost ranges span the figures published by named cost guides (HomeGuide, Homewyse, This Old House and others), and every cost page lists those sources with the date we last checked them. We haven't collected quotes ourselves, so these are other publishers' figures, not observed prices for your area, and not a quote for your home. City pages say so when we have no separate local price sample. Climate and local-debris claims are written conservatively and qualitatively; where we're not fully confident in a specific figure, we say so rather than guess.
How pages are produced
We use AI tools to research and draft pages. Every factual claim is checked against a source a reader can open before a page is published, and the site's owner directs what gets written and changed. Pages are credited to the RainGuttering editorial team rather than to a named expert, because we don't want to imply credentials or trade experience a page doesn't rest on. Licensing findings are cited to the issuing state authority; cost figures to the cost guide that published them.
Product recommendations
We haven't lab-tested products in a formal testing facility. Picks reflect published specs, verified retailer availability, and category fit for a described use case — we say this plainly on every best-of page rather than implying testing we haven't done.
Corrections
If you spot an error, email inquiry@rainguttering.com and we'll correct it. Every page shows a real "Updated" date reflecting when it was last reviewed.
